David Stastny
Managing Director

Mr. Stastny is a Managing Director of GKM Ventures.

Mr. Stastny is the founding General Parnter for Osprey Ventures, a $93 million venture fund focused on expansion stage IT investments in the busines and consumer technology sectors. Osprey Venture’s successful investments include: Cyber Gold, Panopticon, Lara Networks, BlueStar Solutions and USI/AppShop. Osprey currently has active investments in twelve portfolio companies.

Previously, David spent ten years as a senior investment banker. He was a Managing Director of Soundview Technology Group, Oppenheimer & Company and Robertson Stephens & Co. During the course of his investment banking career, David was involved in numerous corporate finance, merger and acquisition, private placement and restructuring transactions across all technology sectors.

Earlier in his career, David co-founded and operated two successful technology start-up companies, Data Voice Solutions Corporation (DVSC) and Netwise, Inc., and was an operating manager with ROLM/IBM Corporation.
