Mr. Salzman is a founding partner of VantagePoint Venture Partners, one of the largest and most active early-stage venture capital firms with more than $3 billion in assets under management. Mr. Salzman's investment experience includes technology companies at all stages of development, including conceptualizing, co-founding and serving as the initial CEO of newly created technology companies. Mr. Salzman has worked with and funded over 100 startup companies who have collectively created over $30 billion in shareholder value.
Previously, Mr. Salzman was a Business and Technology Partner with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. He has held a faculty appointment at the Stanford Law School as an adjunct professor of Venture Capital and Start-Up Companies for the past ten years. Mr. Salzman received his J.D. from the Stanford Law School and his LL.M., International Business at the University of Brussels. He received his B.A. while attending the London School of Economics and the University of Toronto.
Mr. Jones is a founding partner of Redpoint Ventures. Mr. Jones currently focuses on communications, Internet and software opportunities that are located in Southern California. Prior to founding Redpoint, he was a general partner with Brentwood Venture Capital, a firm he joined in 1981. He has led investments in communications companies such as Multilink Technology and ComCore/National Semiconductor (NSM); Internet companies such as Sandpiper Networks/Digital Island (ISLD); Stamps.com (STMP) and Trading Edge; and software companies such as CIM Vision International and eLabor.com.
Mr. Jones received his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his J.D. from the Stanford Law School. He received his B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Physics from Harvard University.
Mr. Attanasio joined TCW in 1995. Mr. Attanasio, along with Robert D. Beyer and Jean-Marc Chapus, oversees TCW's Leveraged Finance Group. Previously he was Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Crescent Capital Corporation, a registered investment advisor. From 1985 to 1991, he was a member of the high yield bond and investment banking departments of Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, most recently as a Managing Director. Additionally, he was an Attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton specializing in corporate finance and securities law. He is a Director of The TCW Group, Inc., TCW Asset Management Company and the Brown University Third Century Fund.
Mr. Attanasio received his B.A. from Brown University and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
